Matt attended St. Andrew's School, graduating in 2000, before attending Georgetown University. His first job after college was in the Development Office at Sidwell Friends School. He later moved back to his native Middletown, teaching Middle School history, coaching, and doing admissions for St. Anne's Episcopal School. In 2011, he returned to St. Andrew's. Since then, he has primarily worked in admissions and financial aid, rising to the Directorship in 2016. He also ran summer programs, coached soccer and crew, taught history, and served as a college counselor.
Matt and his wife Michelle, also a science teacher, live just off-campus with their two daughters and four cats. He makes homemade hot sauce creations that you must sign a waiver to try.
