Max is one of the earliest Chinese students to study at a U.S. boarding high school, graduating from the Hill School to pursue his undergraduate studies at Carleton College, receiving Magna Cum Laude.

Max is the very first Mainland Chinese graduate from the Hill School since its founding in 1851. After returning to China in 2013, Max has devoted his life to be an integral part of the development of International Education in China. He currently sits on the board at the Hill School and serves as the Chair of the Admission and College Counseling Committee, and a member of the Education, Executive, and Institutional Giving Committees.
