LaToya R. Stallworth is the Associate Director of Admission at Santa Catalina School in Monterey, California, where she began her work in admissions in 2024, and contributes to shaping each incoming class within a dynamic day and boarding school environment. Since stepping into the role, she has developeed a thoughtful and reflective approach to enrollment work - one that centers both the responsibility of decision-making and the human stories behind each application.
Prior to transitioning into admissions, LaToya spent five years at Chadwick International in South Korea and also worked at Chadwick School in California, building a strong foundation in independent school communities and global education settings.
Her work has engaged students and familes across the U.S. and internationally, including in East Asia and parts of Africa. These experiences continue to inform her perspectives on how culture, access, and context shape not only the admissions process, but also how students experience belonging and opportunity within schools.
LaToya is especially interested in the human side of admissions: the decisions we make, the stories we carry, and how admissions professionals navigate the responsibility of the work. She is currently pursuing her PhD in Global Leadership and Change at Pepperdine University, where her research examines how independent schools, globally, can reproduce or resist colonial ideologies through their structures, practices, and access points.
