In the evolving landscape of independent school admissions, embracing change is essential for both admissions professionals and the institutions they serve. Admissions directors, including associate directors, particularly those from historically underrepresented backgrounds, must navigate personal growth and resilience while also driving institutional transformation. Drawing from my experience as an Associate Director of Admissions, I will share strategies that empower professionals and schools to foster diverse recruitment, build authentic connections with prospective families, and create a more inclusive admissions environment. This session will explore how both individuals and institutions can embrace change, adapt to shifting demographics, and create meaningful pathways for students from diverse backgrounds.
