Dr. Olaf Jorgenson has been a school leader and teacher in independent, public, and international schools for nearly four decades, and has served for the past 18 years as head of school at Almaden Country Day School (ACDS) in San Jose, CA. Ole has contributed more than 100 articles and conference presentations to the independent school community, along with four books for teachers and parents. He is a faculty member with the NAIS Fellowship for Aspiring Heads, and serves on the boards of the California Association of Independent Schools (CAIS), the Klingenstein Center for Independent School Leadership, and the Association of Independent School Admissions Professionals (AISAP). Ole's current work beyond ACDS supports small and under-resourced schools, optimizing head of school retention, and combating enrollment decline. Ole lives with his family in San Jose, CA.
