Date & Time
Friday, September 20, 2024, 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM
Description

In this session we will share how a successful student ambassador program can positively impact yield and leave prospective parents talking about how impressive your students are. “I want my child to be like them!” is something we hear often from prospective parents and educational consultants throughout the admission process. We will share the evolution of our program at The Langley School, including what has worked and what has not, the ways in which our student ambassadors support our admission work, and the value this leadership experience provides for our students. Keys to our success at Langley include clear expectations with students, parents, and other school leadership; support from other members of our community; and flexibility to evaluate and modify our program from year-to-year. Some topics we plan to discuss include:

  • Evolution of our program at Langley Challenges
  • What has been successful and a few things that have not Partnership with faculty and school leadership
  • Finding a role for everyone How to get students to participate
  • Training of ambassadors
  • Student leadership Managing ambassadors
  • Events our ambassadors support

Participants will leave with a better understanding of how to structure or enhance a program at their school. We will also share a sample ambassador application and agreement for schools to modify for their own needs.
