Description

The landscape of secondary school admissions is rapidly evolving, and with it, so are the strategies for yield management. In this presentation, I will delve into the evolution of yield strategies and emphasize the importance of personalizing messaging post-acceptance to individual students. I will share insights and best practices on how to leverage technology to tailor communication to accepted students effectively. Additionally, I will discuss moving away from the standard SWAG box approach to something that feels more personal and meaningful to the accepted student. Drawing from my experience, I will showcase the journey from introducing the SWAG box concept while at Loomis to implementing more personalized approaches at Taft and Hotchkiss, such as mailing personalized video books, creating personalized websites for accepted students, and including SWAG items that are in line with the school’s mission and alumni network. My presentation seeks to empower enrollment professionals with practical insights and strategies to elevate their yield efforts and ensure a more personalized and impactful admissions experience. Through this, I hope to contribute to the overarching theme of the conference, "Elevating Enrollment," by highlighting innovative approaches that enrich the enrollment process and elevate outcomes for both institutions and students alike.
