The Evolution of Latin's Lower School Admissions Process: An Interactive Workshop Reviewing Early Childhood and Elementary Admissions Best Practices In this interactive session, we will present how Latin School of Chicago’s lower school admissions process has evolved in the most recent years. We will then invite participants to share about their processes - what has worked, what has changed, what have you learned and where are you going? Our goal is to focus specifically on establishing best practices in the early childhood and elementary admissions process and collaborate in meeting the needs of our schools and constituents. Topics to be discussed include 1:1 assessments (early childhood & elementary), playgroups, child observations, parent interviews, admissions committee evaluations and feedback, and protocol for candidates needing further review.
