This session will mirror a start-of-season retreat where participants will join our “office” and review what worked and what didn't during the previous admissions cycle. We will model the creation of SMART goals, share data templates and key performance indicators (KPIs) from both the Enrollment and Financial Aid Office, and simulate how we work with our teams to analyze the data, capture insights, and identify strategic goals for the coming year. By showing how each team works independently and collaboratively, we intend to model the entire enrollment management cycle. Guiding questions include: what benchmarks will we set for the upcoming cycle, which touchpoints/events will we keep, what should we change, what is needed to be successful, and how do we define success? By using a practicum model, participants are encouraged to share their own methods with each other and walk away with ideas that can be immediately implemented that measure various enrollment and financial aid KPIs, as well as the importance of setting aside time to think strategically – even when we get lost in the day-to-day work!
