Middle school students can be an invaluable resource to the admissions recruitment process because they add an authenticity and unique viewpoint to the prospective family experience. After a multi-year hiatus, Lakeside School revived its Middle School Ambassador program for the 2022-23 school year with a 38 student ambassador team who had roles in every tour, open house, and admitted student event held during the most recent admissions season. Qualitative and quantitative data correlate the use of middle school ambassadors with strong application yield and overall positive impression of the institution from our prospective families. Session attendees will learn how to incorporate middle school students into their admissions events and how an ambassador program benefits not only the admissions program, but the current student participants as well.
