Description

As we sought to include more students from our neighboring communities, a consistent theme emerged and birthed a new recruiting strategy. This session will focus on breaking down the barriers to entry for low-income families of color. We will start with discussing strategic approaches to understanding the academic gaps that exist in low-income communities of color and why. Then, we will discuss the importance of Trauma-Informed Classrooms to ensure the most optimal learning space. And finally, we will wrap up with discussing parent education needs and partnerships.
