Lisa Meyers Johnson is a seasoned leader with 20+ years of experience across for- and nonprofit sectors, specializing in strategic communications, diversity and inclusion, and organizational transformation. She is the founder and executive director of Private School Village (PSV), a nonprofit she launched in 2018 to support Black and Brown families in independent schools. What began as a small gathering of families in Los Angeles has grown into a network serving families and schools, advancing belonging through racial socialization, literacy, representation, and research.

Previously, Lisa held senior leadership roles with Earvin “Magic” Johnson’s business and philanthropic ventures and the American Cancer Society, where she led communications, major campaigns, and diversity initiatives. She has also served in education leadership roles, including at Campbell Hall Episcopal School and as an adjunct professor at USC.

A graduate of the University of Virginia, Lisa’s work is rooted in a multigenerational legacy in education and a deep commitment to ensuring all students thrive.
