Dr. Tim Pitchford is thrilled to serve as Head of Enrollment at The Lovett School. In 2023, after 17 years in education, including eight years as Lovett’s Director of Upper School Bands, he transitioned out of the classroom to join the Admission and Enrollment team in a full-time capacity.

Before coming to Lovett, Dr. Pitchford held a faculty position at Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington, IL. Prior to his academic career, he was a professional trombonist, touring internationally with K.C. and the Sunshine Band from 2005 to 2008 and performing or recording with renowned artists such as Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles, Johnny Mathis, The Temptations, and Kirk Franklin.

Now serving the entire Lovett community, Dr. Pitchford is committed to leading a thoughtful, inclusive, and mission-driven admissions and financial aid process. He takes great joy in welcoming new families to Lovett and ensuring their introduction to the school is filled with clarity, care, and connection.
