Sarah Garcia has worked in boarding school admission at The Webb Schools for the past ten years. Earlier in her career, she worked in college admissions recruiting international and out-of-state students, beginning that work when her twins were just one year old. She first attended a boarding school in England at age 12, inspired by a beloved boarding school book series and the promise of sneaking out of bed for midnight feasts. There she learned that the best communities balance high expectations with just enough room for a well-timed prank, a spirit she carries into her adult life in boarding school. During the pandemic admission cycle, while working from home with two seven-year-olds, she developed a more intentional workflow that kept her in control, balanced the team’s increased demands, and better supported families navigating the admissions process. Outside of work, she can be found running with her dog Joy, roughhousing with her kids, or refereeing soccer on the local fields.
