What do we learn when the family's voice and the enrollment leader's reality are considered side-by-side? Over the past three years, E3n's flagship research has approached independent school enrollment from complementary angles. Together these reports reveal what none can reveal alone. The Ride to Independent Schools (2024) followed more than 3,000 families through the inquiry-to-enrollment journey, surfacing what draws families in, where the process breaks down, and what authentically moves the needle. An Independent School Education: Family Perceptions of Value and Affordability (2025) applied a behavioral economics lens to how families across the socioeconomic spectrum weigh quality against cost, and to the gap between what they say they want, what they are willing to pay, and what they actually pay. The 2026 State of the Independent School Enrollment Industry Report brought the view back inside the enrollment office, capturing how more than 700 senior enrollment leaders are navigating mission-aligned net tuition revenue optimization, artificial intelligence, and market crosswinds. This session sits deliberately at the intersection of theory and practice, pairing what research reveals about family behavior and perception with the operational realities enrollment leaders confront every day. We then pull the lens back further and consider the implications beyond the enrollment office for the broader school. Participants will hear directly from the reports’ authors and explore how to bring
