As schools grow in increasingly competitive enrollment landscapes, differentiation requires more than polished marketing—it demands new approaches to enrollment and authentic, mission-aligned storytelling brought to life across the entire school community. This session will explore how one PreK–12 school leveraged cross-department collaboration to translate its mission and values into meaningful experiences that strengthened both recruitment and retention. Through specific examples and outcomes, participants will see how “many voices” can collectively tell a compelling and cohesive school story. Participants will identify opportunities to align enrollment and retention strategies with their school’s mission and core values; analyze examples of cross-department collaboration; evaluate their current enrollment practices to determine where greater collaboration could strengthen authenticity, differentiation, and community connection; and develop at least one mission-aligned, cross-functional strategy that engages partners beyond admissions to enhance recruitment and/or retention efforts.
