Description
Description: What if belonging didn’t start at orientation, but at inquiry? And what if it wasn’t left to chance, but intentionally designed? In this session, we’ll share how Wayland Academy built a coordinated, brand-driven approach to move students from “I’m curious!” to “I belong here.” At the center is a powerful collaboration between admission and marketing—using consistent voice, visual identity, and storytelling to create clarity, stability, and momentum during one of the most uncertain parts of the student journey. Through sequenced, high-impact communications, strategically timed virtual events, and alignment across admission, academics, and student life, we created a predictable rhythm that builds trust and keeps families engaged. We’ll also highlight how post-arrival communications—from community publications to early check-ins and mid-year feedback—reinforce connection while offering insight into student experience. Designed with small boarding schools in mind, this session proves you don’t need a large team to do this well. Whether you’re a team of two or twenty, you’ll leave with practical, scalable strategies to align your messaging, leverage your brand, and create a student experience that drives both belonging and retention—on purpose.
