Decoding the Next Generation of Parents | Generational Shifts in Financial Aid Through Data and School Stories Did you ever get the feeling that Millennial parents approach financial aid differently than previous generations? Offering less despite higher incomes? Interpreting award offers differently? Expecting more transparency or flexibility? You're not alone! We’ll use national data from Clarity’s 2026-2027 applicant year to identify generational differences in income, assets, parent offers, and other markers in order to determine if generational patterns are shifting and how schools can respond with best practices. We’ll pair these national trends with direct insights from a panel of school users, who will share their own experiences and successful strategies for engaging the Millennial parent body. Attendees will leave with a clearer understanding of emerging parent behaviors and practical, best practice approaches for communicating, packaging, and partnering more effectively.
