The latest versions of AI write responses to prompts, ask for clarifications, identify inappropriate prompts and are being used for schoolwork. Schools are concerned about what this technology will do to cognitive development as new research reveals those using AI show less brain connectivity to academic tasks. This session will identify the latest research and will encourage a general discussion of this concern. Plans to help schools respond to the pressure from parents to use AI in the classroom will be considered
