Description

A critical mass of independent schools – including 35% of the 1,600+ NAIS members, and half of its small schools – now contend with enrollment decline, and the crisis is spreading across most markets. Many schools struggle to identify solutions. This workshop provides critical, proven approaches to support schools facing enrollment pressures. Learning objectives include: ● Identify enrollment challenges we can and can’t address – and recognize which problems to solve ● Discuss 15 mindset shifts to prepare your faculty and school community for the difficult changes necessary to resist enrollment pressures ● Apply the mindsets and sample tactics to your own school context and gather actionable takeaways from the workshop. This session is based on a four-year campaign at the presenter’s own school to successfully restore enrollment from a near-fatal crisis following the Great Recession, along with lessons learned from a broad network of more than 400 peer schools fighting similar battles.
