In a time when the term “DEI” can cause skepticism and mistrust, how can we clearly communicate that DEI is a core value and demonstrate its high level of integration at our school? How can we use the admissions process to dispel common misconceptions about DEI and help prospective families understand that DEI is for everyone? Learn how Crossroads School built an admissions and DEI framework that centers authentic storytelling and fosters connection through sharing the diverse lived experiences of race and ethnicity, LGBTQ identity, and multilingual speakers in our community. In this session, you will identify ways to apply an equity and inclusion based lens on the admissions program, events, and process and leave with tools for implementation.
