Description

Families do not experience a school through the admission office alone. They are constantly taking in signals from classrooms, students, faculty interactions, and the overall culture of the school. Those everyday experiences shape perception, and perception shapes enrollment. Teachers play an important role in both recruitment and retention, even if they do not always think of themselves as part of the enrollment effort. This session will help admission leaders better understand the role faculty play in shaping enrollment outcomes and offer practical strategies for building trust, partnership, and shared understanding with faculty colleagues. Participants will explore how faculty culture affects family experience, how to recognize signs of misalignment or resistance, and how to engage teachers in ways that feel authentic and aligned with the school’s mission. Attendees will leave with practical ideas for assessing faculty culture, strengthening relationships between admission and academic teams, and helping faculty better understand the role they already play in telling the school’s story. Learning Objectives Participants will be able to: Explain how faculty culture, morale, and everyday interactions shape recruitment and retention. Identify signs of tension, misalignment, or disengagement that may affect enrollment outcomes. Use practical strategies to build trust and collaboration with faculty colleagues. Develop approaches for helping faculty understand their role in supporting enrollment.
