Schools are racing to implement artificial intelligence into their operations. In the urgency to do so, however, you still need to comply with sound legal, technological, and operational principles. This presentation will address those fundamental principles, including ownership/control, confidentiality/security, acceptable use, human control, data integrity, advanced threat protection, and restricted/prohibited uses. Applying those principles, we will present specific examples of effective AI implementation by enrollment and admissions professionals and how their use of AI integrates with the school’s broader efforts to adopt and manage this new technology. Attendees will come away from this presentation with a practical plan and process for implementing AI in admissions and enrollment, grounded in sound legal, technological, and operational principles.
