In this session we will explore how a strong student ambassador program can enhance the admission and enrollment experience, helping prospective families envision themselves as members of your school community. Student ambassadors add an authentic lens to the admission process and offer a peer perspective that gives visitors unique insight into our school environment. We will share best practices in building a strong and sustainable student ambassador program, the ways in which our ambassadors support the admission process, and the opportunities serving as an ambassador creates for our students. Lausanne’s Student Ambassadors operate under an interdepartmental model, not only supporting our admission team, but every academic division and department as well. Some topics we plan to discuss include: • Recruiting a diverse group of student ambassadors • Designing an engaging ambassador orientation • Finding roles for every ambassador • Student leadership within an ambassador program • Ambassador support of community events • Student perspective- hear directly from our Lausanne Student Ambassadors Participants will leave with a deeper understanding of how to build and/or strengthen a student ambassador program at their school. We will share examples of ambassador recruitment materials, applications, an interactive orientation guide, and ambassador “swag” that schools can tailor to their own program.
