When students engage with prospective families, sharing their genuine experiences, they become the most compelling voices in driving enrollment and conversion. At Avenues São Paulo, we recognized this power and recently expanded our Student Ambassador Program to include 5th graders by introducing an enrichment class focused on leadership development. This initiative aligns with Avenues’ methodology and draws inspiration from The Disengaged Teen by Jenny Anderson and Rebecca Winthrop, reinforcing the importance of fostering student agency and engagement from an early age. This expansion supports our broader goal of enhancing student engagement and increasing parent satisfaction, which in turn contributes to growing enrollments and student retention. By providing students with meaningful leadership opportunities, we empower them to take ownership of their learning, develop public speaking and interpersonal skills, and actively represent the school community. This session will be a share-out of what has worked well for our school, as well as the challenges we've encountered along the way. We hope to create a collaborative space where participants can exchange ideas and strategies for implementing or expanding similar programs in their own schools.
