An integral part to our early childhood admissions process is observing students at play with peers. With a high volume of applicants, seeing each child individually at their child care center proved to be time consuming and inequitable for various reasons. In an effort to bring equity, consistency, and faculty expertise to this aspect of our process, we implemented a streamlined and fruitful play date model. During this session, we will highlight how we structured, coordinated, evaluated, and welcomed over 100 applicants and their families. Specific data from the applicant play date evaluation will be shared along with post-process surveys and focus group analysis.
