Attrition is no longer just an enrollment issue—it’s a community one. In this session, we’ll share how our school addressed this shift by created a Retention Committee and utilized a Task Force that successfully reduced student attrition through meaningful faculty engagement, thoughtful data analysis, and a series of targeted, mission-aligned actions. Using outcomes from our 8th to 9th grade transition work, we’ll explore how we brought together divisional leadership, faculty, and key stakeholders to reimagine both culture and communication. You’ll learn how reframing retention as a schoolwide effort—not just an admissions challenge—led to stronger community connections, increased alignment, and measurable improvements. The session will conclude with guided work time, where participants will begin to design a retention framework tailored to their own school’s needs. Using provided prompts and templates, each school team or individual will outline the beginnings of a plan to identify key retention risks, leverage existing strengths, and mobilize collaboration.
