Working Remotely, Recruiting Globally: A New Model in Admissions
Date & Time
Thursday, September 18, 2025, 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Description
In a rapidly evolving world where flexibility and global connection are more essential than ever, admissions offices must rethink traditional strategies to stay competitive and relevant. This session explores a transformative model in international student recruitment: remote, internationally based admissions representatives who operate as satellite offices for their boarding schools. With over six years of experience each, we’ll share how working full-time from international locations—Spain and Brazil—has allowed our schools to: Build stronger, more authentic relationships with prospective families Offer personalized, in-person support in students’ own cultures and time zones Reduce travel costs and environmental impact Maintain year-round visibility in key global markets A major advantage of this model is the close relationships we’ve built with educational agents. Being in their time zones—and often nearby—means we see them more often, and they know they can reach out quickly through WhatsApp or a call. This has fostered trust and responsiveness. We’ve also seen how this model transforms the family experience. Having a local representative—someone they can meet in person or contact during regular hours—makes families feel more comfortable and supported in choosing a school that’s thousands of miles away. This model is not only cost-effective, but also aligned with the mission of global education and relationship-building. Attendees will leave with practical takeaways, including implementation tips, communication strategies, and lessons learned from our experience.
