Description
This interactive workshop brings together independent schools and access organizations to reimagine their partnerships—not as one-time admissions transactions, but as part of an infinite loop of shared responsibility that begins well before the application and continues long after graduation. Facilitators from New Age Prep, Private School Village (PSV), and La Scuola will introduce the infinity loop framework: Access organizations support students through academic preparation, cultural readiness, and emotional development; schools offer rigorous academics, financial aid, and community-based support. Yet often, collaboration only occurs at admissions and graduation—leaving untapped potential in the space between. Participants will take part in two working sessions: One to reflect on their school or organization's current relationship with community-based organizations (CBOs), and another to envision what a sustained, co-created partnership could look like—spanning early recruitment, aligned enrichment, social-emotional transition, and long-term family engagement. New Age Prep will share insights from ongoing school partnerships aimed at building feedback loops that align academic expectations, cultural preparation, and post-placement success. Private School Village (PSV) will highlight their work in Los Angeles and Northern California, centering family partnerships, student retention, community connection, and belonging—with measurable impact in helping Black and Brown families thrive in independent school settings. Together, the work of NAP and PSV reflects the mission of this session: to inspire participants to reimagine what an ideal, enduring partnership between schools and access organizations can truly look like.
