As enrollment professionals, we know retention is more than just numbers—it’s a reflection of community strength, parent trust, and the lived experiences of students and families. Yet, too often, retention is seen as the work of admissions offices alone. Based on a pre-session survey that captured their beliefs and attitudes around retention, this workshop is intentionally designed around what they said—ensuring relevance, reflection, and real-time connection to the school’s lived experience. As part of the conference theme, Embracing Change, this session challenges us to shift our lens—encouraging deliberate perspective-taking as a tool for growth.
